How can I participate?
The 2020 GP and Jr. GP is free for all SBRA members. Join the Club today at Join SBRA. Not sure if you’ve renewed your annual 2020 membership? Email us at [email protected].
Do I need to Register?
Once you’ve confirmed your annual SBRA membership please register for the Virtual GP series, sign waver and be entered as an official participant for scoring and standings Click here to register.
Can I use a time on any of the courses in 2020 prior to registering?
You must be officially registered prior to racing any of the courses for them to count towards your GP and Jr. GP score and standings. Click here to register.
How many times can I run each course?
After you’ve registered, you can run each course as many times as you’d like until December 31st. Great way to test your personal best!
How will the SBRA record race data?
SBAA has created a private 2020 GP Strava Race Series Club. Please Click here to join the 2020 GP Race Series Strava Club to track your results and competition. GP standings will be updated monthly to the SBRA website.
What if I don’t have Strava?
You can download Strava for free at Strava.com. Strava will automatically sync with most any smart watch. If you don’t have a smart watch you can download the Strava App directly to your mobile phone and track your race directly in the Strava App. Technical questions please contact us at [email protected].
How is the GP scored?
Click on this link to see the GP rules & policies Grand-Prix-Rules. For the 2020 Virtual Race Series age groups will remain the same as the GP series. Scoring will be based on your best three events.
What if I participated in the GP or Jr. GP prior to the pandemic?
The Virtual 2020 GP race series will be scored separately from any races you participated in prior to the pandemic. Therefore, there will be two awards given at this year’s annual awards banquet. One for the GP and one for the Virtual GP race series.
Can I have a pacer?
As with any race, no pacers will be allowed for the virtual GP race series. It is however recommended that an adult accompany all Jr. GP participants.
